The Mintabie mine in Australia, now closed, was know for opals with brilliant striations of color. These brilliant crystal opal came from a large vain of opal believed to be from the famed Mintabie mine. Each irregularly shaped opal is spaced with yellow sapphires and yellow gold pave diamond rings.
